I love officiating weddings. I love love.  My background is as a comedian, writer and actor, and officiating weddings gives me a special joy and happiness. To see two people in love come together, and to have the honor of being a part of that union, gives me so much pride and love.  I will strive to make your day beautiful, memorable, and most of all, YOU.

Humor

I love finding the joy and humor of each couple! This effrevescence and comedy is part of what will make your ceremony memorable and fun.

From a bride: "We walked into our ceremony together and a close friend (who is also an amazing stand-up comedian) officiated, which included two sets of vows- our real/personal vows, and also funny vows from Flash Gordon. It was hilarious. That sense of playfulness + joy+ theatricality felt just like us and carried over into our parade through downtown following the ceremony, where it felt like we got to celebrate with the entire city, thanks to all the honks, cheers, and well-wishes of strangers.”

Style

I love wearing a stylish outfit that will coordinate with your wedding colors, theme and style, and look great in your wedding photos!  I know how important those wedding photos are.  I usually coordinate my outfit on my own, but if you have something specific you want me to wear, I am happy to wear what you want me to!

LGBTQ ceremonies

I love our community!  I believe that same-sex, trans and queer ceremonies are beautiful.

As a queer officiant, I have been through what you're going through. From conservative family members, to taking the big leap of faith in our country, I can help support you through this having the courage to take this momentous step. Our community is the bravest ever. #loveislove!

Bilingual Ceremonies

I love officiating in Spanish and English! I have officiated bilingual ceremonies in Colombia, I am half-Colombian and love speaking Spanish for your bi-cultural family!

I performed a ceremony out of the country in Colombia in 2008. It was a bilingual ceremony in Spanish and English and I brought in elements from both cultures, American and Colombian into the service.

This particular couple was very into social justice, education, equality and activism which was a big focus of the ceremony, how they met, came together and were standing up for interracial marriage in conservative Colombia.

Religious Ceremonies

I am happy to perform ceremonies of all faiths, I would just need guidance in your faith or interfaith customs. I will research and prepare to the best of my abilities! 

Secular Ceremonies

Secular ceremonies are my right up my alley! I love weaving in humor, quotes, poetry, readings and other inspirational words for the couple-to-be-wed.
